Icon 4: Kaptein Benjamin Moodie (1789 – 1856) was 'n Suid-Afrikaanse pionier en soldaat. Hy is in 1789 in Melsetter op die Orkney-eilande, Skotland gebore. Hy lewer diens in die Ross and Caithness Militia en nadat hy sy familie-eiendom verloor het, besluit hy om 200 Skotse emigrante na die Kaapkolonie te bring. Bygestaan deur die Britse Regering het die geselskap in 1817 in Suid-Afrika aangekom. Driekwart van die groep was werktuigkundiges en die res arbeiders.

Moodie het aan elk £20 passaatgeld betaal. Die meeste van hulle het gou werk in Kaapstad en elders gevind, terwyl Moodie homself op die plaas Grootvadersbosch, naby Swellendam, gevestig het.

SHILOH was abandoned when his owners moved and was left to live as a street dog. SHILOH is an angel of a boy who is well socialised with other dogs and is non-reactive towards cats. He is a medium sized dog with short legs and a curly coat. He is so affectionate and playful and is desperate in need of a home. He will be your best friend and a lap dog for life.
