Dr Pierre Botes was an orthopedic surgeon associated with the Mediclinic on Worcester. For many people in the Breederivier Valley, the Hex River Valley, the Klein-Karoo, the Bokkeveld and the Overberg, he was the man who changed and improved lives. He passed away last year due to Covid related complications. Dr. Botes was also a sculptor, painter and poet.
