Fynbos is a global biodiversity hotspot, found only in South Africa. Alien plants like pines and wattles suck up water and threaten fynbos’ unique plants and animals. Hacking prevents wildfires, protects water resources, and restores the natural beauty of the area. When: Every second Saturday of the month, 8am – 11am. Where: Meet at Marloth main entrance at 8am. Ask the gate staff to direct you if you come late. What to bring: Old clothes & sturdy shoes, hat, snack, water, sunscreen, gardening gloves, weeding tools, pangas, axes, We will provide: Backpacks, mini saws.
