The small ‘c’ in the word ‘McGregor’
small ‘c’ in the word ‘McGregor’ has particular significance for the
McGregor Tourism Management Committee as we believe it represents the
COMMUNITY of our wonderful village.
Robertson will be hosting a Wedding Fair on the 16th and 17th of March this year and McGregor Tourism will be there too. Considering the needs of our local community, we will have a stand called “Paying it Forward with Love”. Gently-worn (i.e second-hand) formal wear and décor will be on sale and the proceeds will be added to a fund that supports local community projects in the village of McGregor.
If you have any items that you no longer use or wish to keep, please could you consider donating them to us? We are looking for wedding dresses and suits; hats and veils; bridesmaids and flower-girl dresses; page-boy outfits and waistcoats; mother-of-the-bride dresses; matric-dance dresses; evening dresses; shoes; jewellery; and hair accessories etc. As well as any décor items that could be passed on: eg tablecloths; drapes; chair covers; vases; and candle holders etc.
We offer you 2 options:
1. Decide on a price that you would like for the item and we will try to sell it on your behalf from our stand. If it sells, we will take 20% commission and pay you the rest of the money. If it does not sell, we will take a 20% handling fee and return the item to you.
2. Donate the item to us and let us decide on the price and the proceeds will be added to our community funds.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Your items can be dropped off at the McGregor Tourism Office in Voortrekker Street, McGregor. Alternatively contact Jennifer Johnson (firstname.lastname@example.org / 023 625 1908 / 084 675 1164) to arrange for it to be collected.
Thank you in anticipation of your support.
