What a bittersweet occasion as Kosie Posyn handed over the keys of a brand new Hyundai Grand i10 to Ms Elsie Joseph this week.
Elsie and her husband had received tragic news about the death of a young family member the previous night, and despite offers to postpone the event, they showed great courage to honour the arrangements that had been made. Despite their happiness at winning the prize, the loss was unmistakably visible in their faces.
Ms Joseph was selected at random from those using their Spar Rewards card in The Spar Win A Car National Competition. A total of 55 cars were given away in South Africa.
Shakeel Allie, Senior ROM (Regional Operations Manager) Spar Dc Western cape, representing SPAR DC for the car handover, attended the occasion, while local well known figures, Kosie & Mariette Pozyn, handed over the keys
The community of Swellendam shares their love and thoughts with the Josephs, and thank Swellendam Spar for giving them this opportunity to connect with their family in this terrible time for them.
